Howler May 2nd
So I decided to make a post about this wonderful night. Firstly meeting Meabh, Meabh, Gabby and Ciara was great. Then Brent was just strolling around, so we gave him his haribos and wished him a happy birthday. Hooded Fang were an awesome support act (the drummer omg). Then, Jordan gatesmith, oh my god. We were right on the barrier and The Academy 2 is such a small place. They were all about 2ft away from our faces. It was kinda weird at first, but then amazing after. When Back Of Your Neck came on it was pretty fantastic. And Black Lagoon after that. After it was over, Jordan was just hanging ‘round the bar. So I asked him if he remembered tweeting me saying he’d marry me, and he said he did. So he went off to get a ‘ring’ and came back with a piece of bread with a hole in it. Then he got down on one knee, just in time for me basically fainting, my god. Then we got pictures and things signed etc and um started drawing on him… He said he wanted to go to the zoo so we told him the good things about our zoo. As we were leaving that area he said “Bye, future ex-wife” to me. Probably the only time I’ll like being called that. We also got Brent’s signature and asked him if he had a good birthday. He said the haribos were the only present he got :( After I went over to get a Hooded Fang cd signed by the awesome drummer, and he said my name was cool. Much appreciated I might say. All in all it was an amazing night. Cheers Hooded Fang and Howler. :)

*THE EMOTIONAL BIT*
Sometimes, I have these little moments where I fear I am not who/what I think I am. I’m afraid that I am one of those people who pretend to be an indie rock fan, or who pretend to be a world class photographer. Sometimes I’m like “I don’t know who half these bands are, and I like some really mainstream singers, I’m obviously bullsh-tting myself”, or “Oh god, ‘So you have a Nikon and an Instagram, you’re not a photographer’. Is that true?”*THE CORNY BIT*
BUT. Then I’m like “oh yeah it doesn’t matter what people think about me. Who cares if I listen to Adele or lady gaga? I still listen to Tegan & Sara, Neon Cough, Everything Everything, and loads of other great music that not many people know about. (idk why that’s important, I guess it’s cuz everyone likes to be different somehow, and music is my way of being different along with a bunch of other people’s too). So, I know in myself that I am real and true. I’m not pretending. Yay
